Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

AQuote.eu ("AQuote", "we", "us") is operated by WORLD DEVELOPER LTD, 20-22 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU, United Kingdom, Company No. 11153689. We are the data controller for personal data processed through the platform. This policy is written to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "EU GDPR"), the UK GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act 2018.

2. Personal data we collect

• Account data: first and last name, email address, password (stored in protected form), account type, optional company name.
• Project data: project briefs, budgets, locations and optional contact details (phone, email, preferred contact apps).
• Proposal and message data: proposals, prices, delivery times and messages exchanged between clients and professionals.
• Payment data: credit purchases and transaction references. Card details are processed directly by Stripe and never stored by us.
• Contact form data: name, email, subject and message.
• Technical data: browser storage, device and log information needed to run the service securely.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Providing the marketplace and your account — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
• Processing payments and keeping accounting records — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) and contract.
• Security, fraud prevention and service improvement — legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Answering contact requests — legitimate interests or steps prior to a contract.
• Optional marketing updates — consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Who can see your data

Public project listings never show a client's name or email. A client's optional contact details are shown only to professionals who have sent a proposal for that project. We share data with service providers acting on our behalf (hosting, email delivery, Stripe for payments) under data processing agreements, and with authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal data.

5. International transfers

Data may be transferred between the UK and the European Economic Area, which recognise each other's protection as adequate. Any transfer to other countries is protected by adequacy decisions, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement/Addendum.

6. How long we keep data

Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted or anonymised within 24 months of closure, unless longer retention is required by law (for example, payment records are kept for 6 years for tax purposes). Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months.

7. Your rights

Under the EU GDPR and the UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise your rights, write to info@aquote.eu. We reply within one month.

You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or to the data protection supervisory authority of your EU country of residence, work or of the alleged infringement.

8. Cookies and browser storage

We use only storage that is strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to make the platform work. We do not use advertising cookies.

9. Security and changes

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. We may update this policy; material changes will be announced on the platform.
